These terms govern access to Sourcevine. By creating an account, using an API key, making a top-up or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Accounts and API Keys
You are responsible for your account, users, API keys and any activity under them. Keep API keys confidential. Sourcevine stores API key secrets as hashes and cannot show a lost secret again. You must revoke keys you no longer control.
Service Scope
Sourcevine provides APIs for public social data from supported platforms. Availability, response shape, freshness and supported fields can change as platforms and our own product change. We may add, change or remove APIs when required for reliability, privacy, legal compliance or product quality.
Credits and Billing
Sourcevine uses credits to meter API usage. A live successful request is charged according to the published price for that API. A request for a resource that does not exist, is private or has nothing to return is charged at the same price, because the platform lookup was made and that is the answer. Unsupported requests and retrieval failures are not charged.
New accounts receive a one-time grant of free credits. Further credits are sold as prepaid packs at the prices on the pricing page. Each pack is a single payment that does not renew. Purchased credits do not expire. There is no subscription and no overage: requests stop when your balance reaches zero.
Payments
Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. Any sales tax or VAT that applies in your country is added at checkout. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Credits are added to your account once Paddle confirms the payment. Contact support about duplicate payments, payment mistakes or ledger errors.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled under our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that cannot be waived by agreement.
Acceptable Use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may throttle, suspend or terminate access for activity that creates risk for users, platforms, Sourcevine or other customers.
Customer Data and Compliance
You are responsible for how you use Sourcevine results, including complying with applicable law, platform rules and your own customer commitments. Do not use Sourcevine to infer sensitive traits, harass people, surveil individuals, make eligibility decisions, or build products that need private or contact data we do not provide.
Availability
Sourcevine depends on networks, infrastructure and public platforms outside our control. We work to keep the service reliable, but the service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation unless a separate signed agreement says otherwise.
Termination
You may stop using Sourcevine at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts, projects, API keys or requests that violate these terms, create abuse risk, cause operational harm, or expose us or others to legal risk. If we close your account for a reason other than your breach of these terms, or stop providing Sourcevine, we refund the unused balance of credits you bought.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. This does not remove consumer rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived by agreement.
